(Atlassian) Application Engineer (Senior or Staff) - Amsterdam (visa and relocation included) - 100-150K base + stock + benefits
You will be joining a team of 12 experienced Application Engineers. Together with the team, you will manage all enterprise applications used by thousands of employees globally, with plans to extend access to external clients in the near future.
The team manages all of the SAAS and enterprise applications like Atlassian, Slack, Google, Gemini, Monday, etc. Although engineers specialize in specific areas, they are empowered to contribute across domains, ensuring flexibility and resilience within the team.This is why every engineer has a weekly rotation day to support other tools with escalations.
Your focus will be on the Atlassian ecosystem. Driving towards optimal integrations, maximum automation and full reliability.

You will be designing, building and maintaining these applications at scale. A strong vision and being able to think outside of the box are essential. This also requires you to think in solutions outside of the standard stack.
It is an interesting time to join, because there are huge plans around migrations to Atlasian, moving from an internal ticketing system to Jira and much more. Although there is a clear roadmap, the work is fairly greenfield.
The team really acts as a team, everyone is collaborative, helping each other out and mentoring where needed. It is a fast paced environment, people think in solutions, everyone has a voice and an opinion, people question each other to push for the best possible solutions. The team is self driving and engineers are empowered to make decisions.

What you will bring:
- Expertise within the Atlassian suite, including workflows, configurations, and marketplace integrations.
- You also have managed other tools, such as Slack, Google Workspace, Gemini Enterprise. And you are willing to work with these tools when needed.
- Proven scripting or coding experience to read and write scripts.
- You have written some code that lives stand alone, not in JSM or within Jira.
- You have hands-on experience migrating users and projects from legacy systems into modern tooling environments.
- You have a clear vision of how to maintain 3rd party apps at scale.
- You have a vision around automating operation tasks.
- You have a problem solving approach and can work creatively outside of your main stack.

Salary and benefits
The base salary is between 100K and 150K euro, depending on what you bring to the table in terms of skills, personality and experience.
Some of the secondary benefits: a permanent contract, 20% guaranteed bonus in stock, 10K+ personal allowance (can be used as salary), healthcare allowance (~2K a year), holiday allowance (8%), holidays, laptop, travel allowance, relocation package for Internationals, training & conferences, 30% ruling, VISA sponsorship, luxury lunch, snacks/drinks, work from home setup, etc.
