Cloud/Infrastructure Engineer

I’m helping Trisian find a top candidate to join their team full-time for the role of Cloud/Infrastructure Engineer — Remote (Offshore).

You'll architect and migrate secure cloud desktop solutions, optimizing performance and cost for diverse clients.

USD 4.2K - 4.5K/month

What makes you a strong candidate:

• You are proficient in Terraform, PowerShell, Containerization, Citrix, Bicep.
• You have +4 years experience in Microsoft Azure, Infrastructure engineering.
• English - Fully fluent

Responsibilities and more:

WHAT YOU'LL ACTUALLY DO

You'll deploy Azure infrastructure, execute migrations from on-premises and competing VDI platforms (Citrix, VMware Horizon) to Azure Virtual Desktop, build automation that eliminates manual toil, and optimize Azure spend so clients get performance without waste.

Day to day, that means:

• Deploy and manage Azure VMs, networking (VNets, NSGs, Azure Firewall), and storage across multi-tenant client environments

• Implement and maintain Azure Virtual Desktop — host pools, session hosts, application groups, FSLogix profiles

• Configure Nerdio Manager for AVD optimization, cost management, auto-scaling, and image management

• Execute migrations from Citrix, VMware Horizon, and on-prem environments to AVD — from assessment through cutover

• Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Bicep — no more click-ops for repeatable deployments

• Build PowerShell automation for golden image builds, operational tasks, and reporting

• Design Azure network architecture for multi-tenant isolation, site-to-site VPN, and ExpressRoute

• Optimize Azure spend — reserved instances, right-sizing, schedule-based scaling, resource cleanup

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

These are the actual daily-work requirements. Not a wishlist.

• 4+ years of cloud/infrastructure engineering — you build and maintain environments, not support tickets

• Deep Azure IaaS and PaaS experience — VMs, networking, storage, resource groups

• Hands-on Azure Virtual Desktop — host pools, session hosts, FSLogix, multi-session Windows. This is the core of what you'll build

• Nerdio Manager for Enterprise — auto-scaling, cost management, scripted actions, image management

• At least one completed VDI migration end-to-end (Citrix, VMware Horizon, or on-prem to AVD)

• Advanced PowerShell scripting — you write and maintain scripts for production, not copy-paste from forums

• Infrastructure as Code — Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates

• Strong networking — routing, firewalls, VPN, DNS, NSGs. When traffic doesn't flow, you trace the path

• Excellent English communication — you'll coordinate migrations directly with US-based clients
