Network Middleware Engineer (Full Remote, OSS)

Because of this, network security for embedded systems is becoming a necessity. Our client is a Global Network Security Vendor specializing in Open Source Software (OSS) and custom-made systems for IoT, Embedded, and RTOS environments, with 2 Billion applications secured thus far.

What would you be doing?

In this full-time in-house position, you would develop new features and improvements for the latest protocols and encryption algorithms, as a member of their Global Engineering Team across US, Europe, Australia, and Japan.

They are hiring for their Japan branch due to an increase in Japanese customers, however you would be collaborating with the entire engineering department on Global Projects as well as Japanese Projects, with project members assigned based on skillset (not geographic location).

Tech Environment

・CI and distributed development using Git/GitHub, Jenkins, etc.

・Development OS: Linux, macOS, Windows

・Target OS: Linux, embedded Linux, various companies' RTOS, etc.

What kind of experience are we looking for?

• 5+ Years C Language Development experience: embedded system or mobile environment development experience is appreciated but not required.
• English Communication skills (Speaking/Reading/Writing): Basic Level, you don’t have to be fluent in English; it's more important that you’re open to work on a global team.
• Japanese Communication skills (Speaking/Reading/Writing): Native Fluency for internal and external communication.
