On this occasion, we are looking for Infrastructure System Administrator experts with hands-on experience to work with a client in Puerto Rico in an awarded fast-growing Technology firm.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sysadmin Infrastructure Support to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the System Administrator responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Windows-based systems in an enterprise environment. This role involves ensuring the stability, security, and optimal performance of Windows servers and related infrastructure components.

Responsibilities

• Windows Server Administration: Install, configure, and manage Windows Server operating systems (including Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019, and later versions) to support business applications and services.
• Active Directory Management: Administer Active Directory services, including user and group management, Group Policy implementation, domain trust relationships, DNS configuration, and replication monitoring.
• System Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor system performance, resource utilization, and availability using built-in tools and third-party monitoring solutions. Optimize system configurations to ensure efficient use of resources.
• Patch Management: Plan, test, and deploy Windows updates, security patches, and hotfixes to maintain system security and compliance with organizational policies.
• Backup and Recovery: Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to safeguard critical data and ensure business continuity. Perform regular backups, test data recovery procedures, and maintain backup infrastructure.
• Security Management: Implement security measures to protect Windows systems from external threats and unauthorized access. Configure firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and antivirus software.
• Incident Response and Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve system-related incidents, service disruptions, and performance issues. Collaborate with other IT teams to troubleshoot complex problems and identify root causes.
• Documentation and Reporting: Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. Generate reports on system performance, availability, and security compliance as required.
• Automation and Scripting: Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell or other scripting languages to streamline repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiency.
• Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing: Work collaboratively with other IT teams, including network administrators, database administrators, and application developers, to support cross-functional projects and initiatives. Share knowledge and best practices with team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience as a Windows System Administrator in an enterprise environment.
• Strong proficiency in Windows Server operating systems, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as Microsoft Hyper-V or VMware vSphere.
• Experience with system monitoring tools, backup and recovery solutions, and security software.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell or similar scripting languages.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Relevant industry certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Administration Fundamentals (MTA), Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or CompTIA Server+ are a plus.
• Strong English skills.
