What You Will Do

• Architect and scale real-time backend services using Node.js to manage high-concurrency voice AI workflows and streaming data.
• Build robust integrations with critical NHS clinical systems like EMIS and SystmOne to automate appointment bookings and triage.
• Optimize system performance and latency for telephony-based AI responses to ensure a natural, seamless patient experience.

The ideal candidate

• Has 5+ years of experience building scalable production backend systems specifically with Node.js and distributed architectures.
• Possesses deep knowledge of event-driven systems, WebSockets, or real-time streaming within AWS environments.
