About The Role
We are seeking a proactive Information Security Specialist to lead the day-to-day operation and coordination of our Information Security Management System (ISMS).
In this role you will bridge the gap between high-level governance and hands-on operational security, ensuring that our cybersecurity activities are robust and effective.
You will take ownership of security assurance, risk management, and audit readiness, working diligently to ensure that all policies and controls are not just implemented, but consistently monitored across Recipharm.
Key Responsibilities
- Information Security Governance and Compliance: Operate and coordinate the day-to-day running of Recipharm’s Information Security Management System (ISMS), including maintenance of policies, standards, procedures, action logs, and supporting records
- Information Security Risk Management: Operate and maintain the information security risk management process and risk register, ensuring that risks are identified, assessed, recorded, assigned, tracked, and reviewed appropriately.
- Security Assurance, Compliance and Audit: Coordinate internal and external security audits, including planning support, documentation preparation, evidence collection, quality review, and tracking of remediation actions.
- Strategic Security Leadership: Support the development and execution of the IT security strategy through operational planning and delivery of ISMS and security initiatives.
- Cybersecurity Operations and Engineering: Coordinate day-to-day operational cybersecurity activities with the CISO, Site IT teams, and external service providers, including vulnerability management, security monitoring, endpoint security, and incident follow-up.
- Security Programme Delivery and Technology Enablement: Define and maintain security requirements for IT and digital initiatives, ensuring security is integrated into system design and delivery
- Security Awareness, Education and Training: Coordinate and support the delivery of information security awareness and training programmes

- Degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- Professional security certifications desirable (e.g. CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001 LI/LA)
- Strong knowledge of ISO/IEC 27001
- Experience in information security governance, risk management, and compliance within a regulated environment
- Experience coordinating security activities across multiple stakeholders, including IT, business functions, and third parties
- Experience supporting or leading internal and external audits
- Understanding of operational security capabilities, including security monitoring, vulnerability management, and incident response processes
- Strong organisational and programme coordination skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working with distributed or offshore teams

This is a global remote based role and open for applicants with EU/UK citizenship, or with a valid work/residence permit and permanent residence in the UK, Sweden, Germany, Italy, France, Spain, or Portugal where Recipharm has presence.
