Network Automation Engineer (Python/Ansible)

A Network Automation Engineer (Python/Ansible) job is available courtesy of Akkodis. This is reactive remediation, patching and OS upgrades for 200,000+ network devices. Must have Python/Ansible. This is 100% remote

Network Automation Engineer Responsibilities:

• Develop and enhance network automation solutions using Python
• Implement infrastructure as code practices for network configuration management
• Integrate with APIs, source of truth systems, and ITSM platforms
• Collaborate with architects and senior engineers on scalable automation designs
• Troubleshoot and improve existing automation workflows
• Engage in customer-facing discussions as needed

Qualifications:

• Strong proficiency in Python
• Experience with network automation frameworks (e.g., Nornir, Ansible, or similar)
• Hands-on experience with REST APIs and system integrations
• Familiarity with Git and version control best practices
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (routing, switching, multi-vendor environments)
• Experience working with structured data (YAML, JSON)
