Key Responsibilities

Assist in developing Statistical Analysis Plans (SAP) for descriptive and complex studies using RWD, including claims and EHR.

Job Title: RWD Data Analyst

Locations: 100% Remote

Job Summary

  • Real world evidence (RWE) has become a vital complement to the traditional clinical trial in the demonstration of the value and safety of new medicines.
  • Recognizing its importance, established a core Analytics group within the Health Economics Outcomes Research (HEOR) - Organization to support the use of RWE across the discovery, development, and lifecycle of our medicines.
  • Members of this group will be fully embedded alongside their Clinical, Medical Affairs Research (MAR), and Global Value & Access (GV&A) colleagues, helping to develop and execute their RWE strategies.
  • As a member of the core HEOR Analytics group, individuals will have access to real-world databases in-licensed across and act as the stewards of best practices, standards, and methodologies underlying the use of real-world data (RWD).


Job Description:

Minimum Requirements:

  • 7+ years of strong statistical programming (such as SAS) and analytical experience with Master’s Degree in public health, epidemiology, health economics or related discipline; or
  • 5+ years of strong statistical programming (such as SAS) and analytical experience with PharmD or PhD
  • Knowledge of real-world data and experience in observational research study design, execution, and communication
  • Experience in HEOR, medical affairs, managed markets, healthcare consulting or other pharmaceutical/biotech industry work or research.
  • Strong track record of analysis of RWD
  • Ability to work effectively in a constantly changing, diverse, and matrix environment
  • Formal training in Programming and demonstrated proficiency in statistical analysis programs commonly used in life sciences (e.g. SAS, R, SQL)
  • Excellent analytic and communication skills


Preferred Qualifications:

  • PhD in public health, epidemiology, health economics, or related discipline
  • PharmD with fellowship in health economics or related discipline
  • 2+ years of experience in CRO/consultation with client engagement responsibilities
  • Experience in developing programs for lines of therapy in oncology studies
