Quantitative Analyst - Energy Trading - Dusseldorf (relocation offered)
We're working with a Global energy company, who have positioned themselves as a key player in the renewable transition through extensive investment in de-carbonised product markets.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantitative analysis, financial modelling, and statistical techniques, with a proven ability to apply these skills to solve complex problems in energy markets.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement quantitative models for pricing, trading, risk management, and portfolio management specific to energy markets.
- Conduct extensive data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities in energy markets, including oil, gas, electricity, and renewables.
- Create and enhance algorithms for trading strategies, demand forecasting, and risk assessment.
- Collaborate with other departments, including trading, risk management, and technology, to integrate quantitative solutions.
Skills Needed
- Strong Programming skills in either Python, R or C++
- 3+ years in a Quant analyst role within finance/banking/energy trading
- Developed and implemented Quant models and algorithms
