Athletics Administration

The Director, Football Creative Content reports to the Associate Athletic Director, Football Content Strategy, and serves as a senior creative leader for Pitt Football’s content operation. This position is responsible for driving the program’s social media strategy, visual identity, and creative direction — keeping Pitt Football’s brand fresh, consistent, and ahead of the curve. The role leads graphic design, photography efforts, and social media execution for the program year-round while helping manage and mentor a growing creative team.

Essential Functions

The Director, Football Creative Content serves as a senior creative leader within Pitt Football's content operation, responsible for driving the program's social media strategy, visual identity, and overall creative direction. This position helps lead the planning, execution, and day-to-day management of Pitt Football's social media presence, maintaining a fresh, consistent, and competitive brand voice that reflects the culture of the program and resonates with recruits, fans, and donors alike. The Director identifies and acts on emerging trends in real time, integrating new and creative approaches to storytelling that keep the program ahead of the curve across all platforms.

This position also serves as a lead designer for graphics production, developing high-quality visual content for social media, recruiting collateral, and brand storytelling initiatives. Working closely with the Associate AD, Football Content Strategy, this position plays a meaningful role in project management strategy, establishing workflows and systems that drive efficiency, organization, and deadline-driven execution across the creative team. The Director collaborates directly with coaches and football staff to understand and fulfill their creative needs, acting as a trusted internal partner who translates program priorities into compelling content.
