The Role: Mobile Developer (LATAM)

Location: 100% Remote

We’re looking for a Mobile Developer to help own and drive our client's native mobile apps on both Android (Java) and iOS (Swift). This person will support the lead on mobile development while continuing to build, ship, and improve features hands-on. You’ll work closely with product, design, and web engineers, help guide technical decisions, and support the growth of other developers on the team.

You will also be involved in release planning and post-release monitoring, helping the team decide what to build next based on customer feedback, app performance, and real-world usage.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading mobile development efforts across Android and iOS
• Making and guiding implementation decisions while staying hands-on in the code
• Shipping new features and improving existing ones based on customer needs and product direction
• Writing and expanding automated test coverage for mobile apps

• Building and maintaining integrations with third-party services and data providers
• Continuously improving app quality, performance, and overall user experience
• Setting a strong technical example and mentoring mid-level engineers
  
  

What We’re Looking For Technically

• 3+ years of professional experience with native iOS and Android development
• A track record of shipping and supporting production mobile apps
• Strong knowledge of Swift and Xcode
• Knowledge of Java and Android Studio
• Solid object-oriented design skills and experience writing testable, maintainable code
• Appreciation for clean code, clear documentation, and thoughtful code reviews
• Familiarity with mobile UI patterns, animations, and platform conventions
• Ability to deliver consistently on well-defined work in a fast-moving environment
  
  

Nice To Have

• Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent real-world experience
• Experience planning and breaking down larger technical projects
• Comfort jumping into and improving an existing codebase
• Experience working with Firebase services (real-time data, storage, authentication) is a huge plus
• Experience scaling a start-up is a huge plus, we're looking for a self-starter who thrives in an autonomous environment
• Bonus points for experience with Node.js back-end services or serverless/cloud functions
• A collaborative mindset and experience working closely with product and design teams
• Solid knowledge and experience with Java
