Reporting to the Senior Training Advisor - Skills Centre, this role will be responsible for the development, maintenance and delivery of training and assessment materials to ensure Mount Isa Mines has a workforce that is trained and competent in the foundation skills and knowledge required to fulfil their roles.

This position consists of 75% interactive training delivery and assessment, as well as 25% project work – administration, compliance and training package review/development. This position works an attractive 5/2, 4/3 nine day fortnight, promoting a healthy work-life balance and involvement in the local community. Relocation support and initial housing provisions are available for the new appointee to live in Mount Isa.

Your key responsibilities include:

• The delivery and assessment of the Queensland Metals Site Access and other Job Ready specific training packages with a strong focus on safety during training delivery
• Using your expertise to assist with the development and review of training packages and associated documents in the HSEC Management System
• Training records management within our Learning Management and Records Management Systems
• Assisting with creating simulated work environments for training and assessments conducted at the Skills Centre
• Actively participate in the Queensland Metals Safety Behaviour programs and demonstrate a positive safety culture
  
  

Chosen applicants are required to have:

• Minimum of TAE Certificate IV in Training and Assessment;
• At least four years’ experience as a Training Advisor in mining operations or similar
• Displayed keen interest in the advancement and continuous learning of personnel
• Experience in developing and mapping training materials;
• A proven degree of computer literacy with a demonstrated ability to work with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook;
• A self-starting attitude, along with effective task/project management skills.
• Team-oriented approach with proficient leadership and clear communication competencies;
• Current Australian Manual Drivers Licences
• LF High Risk License is also highly desirable
