Cloud Security Engineer (AWS) - Remote | £65,000 - £90,000
We're working with a leading global technology solutions firm on this exciting opportunity. We are looking for a cloud security specialist to join a high-growth team building resilient, automated environments that proactively neutralize threats before they land.
This is a high-impact role where you will safeguard massive cloud infrastructures using cutting-edge AWS security tools and DevSecOps methodologies. The Role
- Design and architect resilient AWS cloud infrastructures utilizing IAM, Organizations, and VPC to provide maximum security posture.
- Proactively monitor and analyze security logs using GuardDuty, CloudTrail, and AWS Config to identify and mitigate emerging threats.
- Lead vulnerability assessments and implement robust WAF, Inspector, and Shield configurations to protect cloud-native applications.
- Drive the automation of security controls through DevSecOps practices and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) to ensure continuous compliance.
- Manage disaster recovery procedures and sensitive data safeguarding to ensure business continuity and data integrity across the organization.

- Minimum 1 year of dedicated experience in Information Security with a deep technical focus on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Strong hands-on expertise with core AWS services including SSO, Transit Gateway, S3, EC2, RDS, and ELB.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and a solid understanding of Container Security (Docker/Kubernetes).
- A degree (BSc/MSc) in Information Security or a related field; AWS Certified Security - Specialty is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with multi-cloud environments (Azure or Oracle Cloud) and a clear understanding of the modern threat landscape.
