Senior Backend Java Developer for Global Data Analytics Company

OneSparQ is looking for a Back End Java Developer for a global data analytics company based out of Atlanta, GA. This is a fully remote opportunity.

Required Skills:

• 6+ years of experience in backend Java development
• 3+ years of experience building data applications with Microsoft Azure
• Experience working with DevOps, CI/CD Pipelines, GitHub and Jenkins
• Strong background working with large data set and Big Data tools and Databricks

Additional Skills: (not required)

• Experience migrating data from legacy platforms to updated systems
• Background working in Big Data and Data Science environments
• Experience working with Apache Maven, Spark, Cosmos DB and Java Development Kit (JDK)

Job Responsibilities:

• Managing data migration in a backend Java development setting
• Working with Azure for cloud management and development of the Java environment
• Utilizing Maven, Cosmos DB, Spark and JDK for software development in application settings
• Developing practices to link large data sets while using matching logic and automation for the purpose of assigning individual records through the migration
• Optimizing data manipulation language with proficiency in Agile, Waterfall, etc.
• Designing data models as well as working through bug fixes
• Working both independently and in collaborative team environments to execute design and development requirements
