Must-Have Skills
- 5 years of experience as a Database Administrator
- Advanced expertise in Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL), including:
- Performance tuning
- Indexing strategies
- Query optimization
- Strong experience with database infrastructure and server architecture
- Proven experience supporting high availability and disaster recovery strategies (Always On Availability Groups, failover clustering, replication)
- Hands-on experience with database monitoring tools and performance diagnostics

The Senior Database Administrator (DBA) is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of database infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on performance, reliability, scalability, and availability. This role is primarily infrastructure-focused, supporting database server environments, architecture, monitoring, and overall system performance across on‑premises and cloud platforms. The DBA manages and optimizes Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL) databases, proactively monitors system health, identifies performance bottlenecks, and implements tuning and optimization strategies. They configure and maintain high availability and disaster recovery solutions, including Always On Availability Groups, clustering, replication, and backups, while also supporting database deployments, migrations, upgrades, and releases. Working closely with engineering, data, DevOps, and infrastructure teams, the DBA ensures efficient, secure data flow across applications, assists with troubleshooting database-related issues, and maintains data integrity, security, and compliance with organizational standards. In addition, this role is responsible for maintaining monitoring, alerting, and logging systems, documenting database architectures and operational procedures, and continuously evaluating tools, technologies, and processes to improve system performance and reliability. This position will be fully remote.
