Deployed Software Engineer

Our client is a well-funded, early-stage defence technology company building foundational software and AI for the autonomous systems.

You'll deploy cutting-edge software into real customer environments - in offices, on testing ranges and in the field - and work hands-on with autonomous systems, sensors and robots. You'll own your work from Day One and feed directly into core product development.

What you'll be doing

• Travelling to customer sites in the UK and globally to understand use-cases
• Deploying products into customer environments, writing code to connect data sources
• Interfacing with and testing autonomous and robotic systems in the field
• Iterating with end users to maximise the value of each deployment
• Collaborating with engineers across AI/ML, networking and robotics

What they're looking for

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical subject
• Strong programming skills in server-side languages (C++, Java, Rust, Python) or front-end (TypeScript/JavaScript, Angular/React)
• Enthusiasm for working across a diverse, fast-moving tech stack
• Strong customer-facing communication skills
• Willingness to travel and work on-site with customers
• Existing right to work in the UK
• Ability to obtain UK Security Check (SC) clearance or above (requires 5+ years UK residency)
