Senior Analytics Engineer for a Retail Client
We’re seeking a contract Analytics Engineer to support retail data initiatives and help deliver clean, reliable datasets that power reporting, forecasting, and customer insights.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain data models in the cloud warehouse using SQL and dbt
- Transform retail data (sales, inventory, ecommerce, customer) into analytics-ready datasets
- Develop and optimize ELT workflows and improve warehouse performance
- Define and maintain business metrics and KPIs
- Implement data testing and ensure data quality
- Partner with analytics and business teams to support dashboards and reporting

Requirements
- Strong SQL and dbt experience
- Experience with Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or Databricks
- Familiarity with orchestration tools (Airflow, Dagster)
- Experience supporting BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI)
- Ability to ramp quickly and work in fast-paced environments
