Key Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data infrastructure
Define and enforce data modeling best practices, governance standards, and architectural decisions
Own the ETL/ELT processes that extract, transform, and load data from digital marketing platforms into centralized data warehouses
Drive the development of proprietary data science reports, dashboards, and predictive models
Apply advanced statistical modeling, machine learning, and data mining techniques to extract actionable insights from complex, multi-source marketing datasets
Set the analytical standard for the team and introduce emerging methodologies
Lead the technical development of the LIFT Digital Marketing Analytics Platform
Own the full lifecycle of feature development — from requirements gathering with stakeholders to deployment and iteration
Proactively identify opportunities to enhance platform performance, reliability, and user experience
Partner with product and design stakeholders to translate complex data into intuitive, visually compelling dashboards and interfaces
Champion usability best practices and ensure the platform delivers a seamless experience for end users
Own and oversee the reporting infrastructure across client accounts
Deliver strategic insights and data-driven recommendations to internal teams and client stakeholders
Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles and presentations as needed
Serve as a technical leader and mentor to junior engineers and analysts
Establish coding standards, conduct code reviews, and champion best practices across the data engineering team
Contribute to hiring and growing the engineering team

We’re seeking an individual that is highly versed in digital marketing with the understanding of tracking and analytics to measure digital marketing performance. The ideal candidate will have a healthy balance of analytic capabilities and interpersonal communication skills. The role will support the New Engen client services team & all client accounts, by designing, developing, building and analyzing reports based on data extracted from various digital marketing platforms, Google & Adobe Analytics, Google Ads, Meta and other sources to be made available in the LIFT Digital Marketing Analytics Platform.

THE ROLE

We're seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer who brings deep technical expertise in data engineering, analytics, and digital marketing platforms. You will take ownership of the architecture, development, and optimization of the LIFT Digital Marketing Analytics Platform — driving scalable, reliable, and insightful data solutions for our clients.

This is a fully remote role based in India, with required overlap with EST working hours.

Key Responsibilities

Data Engineering & Architecture Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data infrastructure. Define and enforce data modeling best practices, governance standards, and architectural decisions. Own the ETL/ELT processes that extract, transform, and load data from digital marketing platforms (Google Ads, Meta, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, etc.) into centralized data warehouses.

Advanced Data Science & Analytics Drive the development of proprietary data science reports, dashboards, and predictive models. Apply advanced statistical modeling, machine learning, and data mining techniques to extract actionable insights from complex, multi-source marketing datasets. Set the analytical standard for the team and introduce emerging methodologies.

Product Development Lead the technical development of the LIFT Digital Marketing Analytics Platform. Own the full lifecycle of feature development — from requirements gathering with stakeholders to deployment and iteration. Proactively identify opportunities to enhance platform performance, reliability, and user experience.

UI/UX Engineering Partner with product and design stakeholders to translate complex data into intuitive, visually compelling dashboards and interfaces. Champion usability best practices and ensure the platform delivers a seamless experience for end users.

Reporting & Insights Own and oversee the reporting infrastructure across client accounts. Deliver strategic insights and data-driven recommendations to internal teams and client stakeholders. Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles and presentations as needed.

Mentorship & Technical Leadership Serve as a technical leader and mentor to junior engineers and analysts. Establish coding standards, conduct code reviews, and champion best practices across the data engineering team. Contribute to hiring and growing the engineering team.

What You'll Bring

  • 4+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a closely related role
  • Expert proficiency in SQL and Python; strong working knowledge of R is a plus
  • Deep hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow) and/or AWS
  • Proven experience designing and maintaining cloud-based data pipelines and infrastructure at scale
  • Strong expertise in BI and visualization tools such as Looker Studio, Tableau, or equivalent
  • Experience with marketing analytics platforms (Google Ads, Meta, Adobe Analytics, etc.) and data connectors like Adverity or Supermetrics
  • Proficiency with CRM and workflow automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce Datorama, Airtable)
  • Demonstrated ability to apply statistical modeling and experiment design to marketing data (A/B testing, regression, attribution modeling, etc.)
  • Strong experience with API integrations and building semi-automated data tools
  • Exceptional communication skills — able to present complex analytical findings to both technical and executive audiences
  • Proven ability to lead projects independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver against deadlines
  • Experience mentoring junior team members and driving technical best practices
