KSAT USA) is located in Denver, Colorado and is rapidly growing in response to strong US Government and industry demand for commercial ground segment services. As a result of KSAT’s continued growth in the US, more critical talent is needed.
Summary Of Position
KSAT USA is seeking a mid-career engineer to perform development, deployment, and testing of large aperture cislunar satellite ground systems, focused on baseband/RF equipment configuration, antenna installation/integration/maintenance and site engineering. This role will act as a technical resource for key customers in the USA, working closely with KSAT’s broader global engineering and program teams. Critical functions include integrating, operationalizing, and maintaining radio frequency (RF) ground systems and major antenna positioner systems servicing space missions.
The Lunar Antenna Systems Engineer will be part of a larger ground antenna team, in coordination with the global KSAT team, performing additional antenna installations to support commercial and government missions. The Lunar Antenna Systems Engineer will work closely with KSAT US’s suppliers, industry partners, and the end users to ensure successful deployment and sustainment of the complete antenna and backend ground systems.
This position will report to Jeff Mooney, US Ground Network Engineering Lead.
The role will be local to the Denver region with flexible teleworking opportunities. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.

The On-Target base salary range is between $125K - $155K.

Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Perform systems engineering functions, including requirements management, assignment, and verification & validation
- Provide engineering support for complete site build-out, from site survey, through design, installation, testing, and operations
- Provide engineering support for face-to-face customer testing efforts for RF communications and network interfaces
- Coordinate with the KSAT global technical and program teams to design, develop, and implement long-term solutions for challenging space-ground communications
- Work in a matrixed organization
US Citizenship
Must be eligible to maintain a US DoD SECRET Clearance
Qualifications And Skills
- Minimum 7-10 years of demonstrated engineering experience supporting hardware integration or technical site development/construction
- Demonstrated experience with the engineering process for complex systems
- Demonstrated experience with on-site installation, backend integration, heavy machinery operation, general construction, and antenna systems acceptance testing
- Demonstrated experience with large aperture (>11 meter) antenna systems, including mechanics, cooling, procedural maintenance, and problem diagnostics
- Familiarity with Satellite Ground Systems Design (Antennas, Modems, Timing, Amplifiers, etc…)
- Experience with RF lab test equipment and procedures, including but not limited to the following: spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, phase noise test sets, bit error rate testing, and sensitive RF equipment handling/installation (ESD, FOD, rack integration, etc)

- Travel will be necessary to Tromsø, Norway several times per year
- Travel to other global locations may be required on a case-by-case basis
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other technical discipline (BSEE/ME preferred), or minimum 10+ years of equivalent work experience as substitute
