Our client in the healthcare industry is seeking two Software Development Engineers in Test (SDETs) to help build and maintain robust automated testing frameworks supporting modern Java/Spring Boot microservices.

This is a hands-on automation engineering role focused on building scalable and reliable automated testing solutions across API, UI, and integration layers. The ideal candidate will leverage AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude Code to rapidly create, maintain, and optimize automated tests while ensuring stability across CI pipelines and containerized environments.

The SDET will play a key role in improving test automation coverage, pipeline stability, and service reliability while working closely with software engineers to ensure quality across distributed microservices running in Kubernetes environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated tests for APIs, UI, and service integrations supporting Java/Spring Boot applications.
• Build and maintain test automation frameworks using Java-based testing tools such as JUnit and RestAssured.
• Implement and maintain contract testing and integration testing strategies across microservices.
• Develop and manage synthetic test data to support automated testing workflows.

• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
• Monitor and stabilize test pipelines running against containerized services in Kubernetes environments.
• Work closely with software engineers to ensure testability, reliability, and coverage of new features.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) to accelerate test development, debugging, and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot failing tests and support rapid debugging and issue resolution across services and pipelines.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience as an SDET or Automation Engineer building automated testing solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Java test frameworks such as JUnit and RestAssured.
• Experience creating API, UI, and integration tests for modern microservices architectures.
