Job Description


Harvey Nash USA has been engaged to find a talented Security Technical Analyst for an Enterprise Insurance Client.


Looking to hire Security Technical Analyst for a one-year commitment. The consultants must reside in California. This is a remote role, however, the consultants must travel to a Client office for the first day of hire to obtain their equipment.


We are looking to hire candidates with 3+ years of recent hands on Incident Response experience.

This role is remote however may require based on security needs an occasional in person attendance to Vacaville, CA and/or Pleasanton, CA office.


Job Title: Security Technical Analyst

Location: Vacaville, CA and/or Pleasanton, CA (Remote)

Duration: 12 Months Contract

Hybrid/Remote: Remote


Qualifications

Minimum of 5+ years of technical experience conducting security incident response and forensic analysis.

Working experience of obtaining Cyber Threat Intelligence and making the information usable through the security incident process.

Working experience of applying IOCs to identify threats in current environment and apply information to prevent future vulnerabilities in infrastructure.

Technical security project management skills.

Working experience using best practices standards and frameworks: ISO 27001/27002; PCI DSS v4, GLBA; HIPPA/HITECH; NIST 800-53; CIS CONTROLS, NIST CSF; CIS RAM.


The tasks for the Security Analyst include, but are not limited to, the following:

Proactively identify and assess threats to client users, network and data

Actively monitor and respond to reports of malicious activity with sound recommendations

Investigate intrusions and security events

Using deep technical experience, identify actionable intelligence by reviewing and analyzing Threat Intelligence (TI)

Analyze client’s threat landscape including performing gap analyses and assessments

Perform detailed analysis of attacks and anomalous network behavior

Conduct forensic analysis using security tools and processes

Provide summarized and detailed analysis and documentation in support of Enterprise Security

Demonstrate strong ability to identify, contain, eradicate and recover from security incidents

Collaborate with clients business units, partners and individuals to mitigate security threats

Provide technical input on forensics and security incident management matters

Contribute to security awareness efforts including simulated phishing campaigns and trainings

Attend meetings and represent Enterprise Security on security-related topics

Contribute to assigned security projects while performing daily operational duties

Share knowledge and provide guidance to colleagues

Develop Standard Operating Procedures and training source documents

Perform other duties, as assigned to support Enterprise Security operations
