Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer

Work location & project

This role offers flexible working arrangements with two main tracks:

1. US Onsite Opportunity (Optional)

• Option 1: Work on-site in the USA for at least 1 year, then return to Vietnam
• Option 2: Work primarily in Vietnam with short-term business trips to the USA

Note: For Option 1, candidates are required to work in Vietnam initially (following Vietnam working hours) for a period of time to meet eligibility and allow for visa processing and approval before relocation to the USA

2. Vietnam-based (No US Onsite)

• HCMC candidates: Hybrid model (work from home 2 days/week)
• Candidates outside HCMC: Fully remote

Note: Candidates can choose based on their availability and career preference.

Training Period:

During the initial training phase (before joining the project), employees are required to work 100%

on-site at the office following the schedule 08:30 AM – 06:00 PM.

Working Schedule After Joining the US Project:

Once you begin working directly with US clients, your working hours will shift to a split-shift schedule:

• 09:30 AM – 04:00 PM
• 09:00 PM – 12:00 AM

Project: These Software Engineers will be at the forefront of transforming a critical US Tax

Application. This application will be used by millions of consumers across the country, making

a significant impact. This work involves cutting-edge technologies and the strategic use of AI,

revolutionizing how tax processes are handled in the US.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Full-Stack Development: Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex features and functionalities for both front-end and back-end components of our applications, leveraging AI-native development practices to improve productivity and code quality.
• Front-End Expertise: Architect and develop responsive, high-performance user interfaces using Angular and/or Vue.js, ensuring an exceptional user experience. 
• Back-End Development: Design and develop scalable, secure RESTful APIs using C# and .NET Core (.NET 8 or later), with experience working with Amazon databases (RDS, DynamoDB) and open-source databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Code Quality & Best Practices: Write clean, maintainable code and conduct thorough code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices, design patterns, and modern development standards. 
• Testing & Quality Assurance: Develop comprehensive Unit Tests and support usability and operational testing to ensure performance, reliability, and user satisfaction. 
• Cloud & DevOps: Deploy and manage applications in AWS environments, using containerization (Kubernetes), and collaborate on CI/CD pipelines via Azure DevOps and GitHub. 
• Problem Solving & Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve complex technical issues across the full stack, including performance bottlenecks. 
• Collaboration & Mentorship: Work in a fast-paced, startup-like environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams and mentoring junior engineers. 
• Project Tracking: Utilize Jira for sprint planning and project tracking in an agile setup.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS  

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Greater than 5 years of progressive experience in software development, with a significant focus on full-stack development.
• Strong expertise in Front-End development with Angular / Vue.js
• Extensive experience with C# and the .NET Core Framework, particularly .NET 8 (or later).
• Proven experience designing and implementing RESTful API services.
• Deep experience with Visual Studio for both .NET and Angular development.
• Experience with version control systems, specifically GitHub, and familiarity with Azure DevOps for CI/CD processes.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, and container orchestration using Kubernetes.
• Demonstrated experience writing comprehensive Unit Tests.
• Familiarity with Usability Testing and Operational Testing methodologies.
• Proficiency in using Atlassian Jira for project management and issue tracking.
• Solid understanding of software design principles, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
