Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee daily IT Engineering and Operations across internal teams and MSP partners
Establish and enforce IT operational standards including SLAs, incident management, change control, and support processes
Manage cloud and infrastructure environments including Azure services and SaaS platforms
Administer and optimize Microsoft 365 (E3/E5), including security and identity services
Design and implement scalable business solutions using integrations, APIs, automation, and off-the-shelf platforms
Oversee endpoint security, patch management, vulnerability remediation, and system monitoring initiatives
Implement and maintain security controls across cloud and SaaS environments
Support SOC 2 compliance initiatives, audits, and ongoing security governance
Manage SaaS lifecycle activities including procurement, onboarding, integration, and offboarding
Track system performance, licensing, cost optimization, and IT operational metrics
Lead cross-functional IT initiatives including mergers, acquisitions, and system integrations
Collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment between IT services and business needs

IT Manager |*6-month contract to hire* | Fully Remote


Optomi, in partnership with an industry-leading client, is seeking an experienced IT Manager to join their team in a fully remote capacity on a 6-month contract-to-hire basis.


No C2C or third-party sponsorship available.


This organization is undergoing continued digital growth and modernization of its IT environment. The IT Manager will play a key role in leading IT Engineering and Operations, overseeing a hybrid team structure (internal engineers and MSP resources), and building scalable, secure, and efficient technology solutions using modern cloud platforms, integrations, and off-the-shelf tools.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical background, a service-oriented mindset, and the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams to deliver reliable, secure, and high-quality end-user experiences.


Experience of the right candidate:

  • 10+ years of experience in IT engineering, systems administration, or infrastructure/operations roles
  • 5+ years in a leadership or IT management capacity
  • Proven experience delivering business solutions through SaaS platforms, integrations, and automation
  • Strong background with Microsoft 365 administration (including enterprise-level environments)
  • Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services and hybrid infrastructure environments
  • Familiarity with identity and access management tools and concepts (SSO, MFA, Conditional Access)
  • Experience supporting security and compliance frameworks such as SOC 2
  • Background managing vendors, MSPs, and cross-functional IT service providers
  • Experience supporting M&A or large-scale infrastructure integration initiatives
  • Strong ability to operate in fast-paced environments with competing priorities
