Mid-Level WordPress Developer

Role Overview

We’re looking for a mid-level WordPress developer who can confidently handle ongoing development, customization, and troubleshooting across multiple projects. This role is ideal for someone who can quickly understand existing websites, fix issues efficiently, and build clean, maintainable solutions using Elementor and custom code when needed.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain WordPress websites for multiple client projects
• Build and customize layouts using Elementor (Pro)
• Identify and fix bugs (frontend, backend, plugin conflicts, performance issues)
• Implement custom functionality using PHP, JavaScript, and WordPress hooks/filters
• Optimize websites for speed and performance (Core Web Vitals)
• Ensure responsive design across devices and browsers
• Improve existing codebases without breaking functionality
• Handle urgent fixes and support requests when needed
• Work closely with designers and project managers to deliver accurate implementations

Required Skills

Must-Have

• 2–4 years of WordPress development experience
• Strong experience with Elementor (beyond basic drag-and-drop)
• Solid understanding of:
• PHP
• HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Experience debugging WordPress issues (themes, plugins, hosting-related)
• Knowledge of performance optimization (caching, asset optimization, lazy loading)

• Ability to work with and improve existing codebases

Nice-to-Have

• Experience building or customizing WordPress plugins
• Familiarity with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF)
• Basic understanding of SEO best practices
• Experience with WooCommerce

Tools & Technologies

• WordPress (custom themes + Elementor Pro)
• PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
