Job Description


Insight Global is looking for a fully remote Security Engineer for a client in Burlington, VT. The main responsibility of this person will be to design, develop and implement cloud-based solutions for customers. This person will work with both cloud and security services and be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving customer issues. This person will be the escalation point for ticket support for Security Analysts.


  • This role is a 9 month contract to hire full time
  • M-F 8am - 5 pm


Responsibilities:


  • Monitor and manage cloud resources, identify underutilized or overprovisioned resources, and implement cost-saving strategies like scaling and automation
  • Develop automation scripts and leverage tools like Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates to automate repetitive tasks, streamline deployments, and improve efficiency
  • Implement and manage security controls like Azure Security Center, Defender for Cloud, and other Azure security services to protect against cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and data breaches
  • Microsoft Sentinel experience- implementing, managing, monitoring
  • Identity and Access Management (IAM): Configure Azure Active Directory (AD) and other IAM tools to control access to cloud resources, ensuring only authorized users have access based on the principle of least privilege
  • Data Security: Implement data encryption, access controls, and other measures to protect sensitive data in the cloud, adhering to compliance regulations like GDPR and HIPAA
  • Incident Response: Develop and implement incident response plans to address security breaches promptly and effectively, minimizing damage and downtime
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to Azure services, applications, and infrastructure deployed in the cloud
  • Provide technical support to internal and external users, answering questions, guiding them through troubleshooting steps, and escalating complex issues as needed


Must Haves:


5+ years of experience working in Cybersecurity

Experience with security frameworks such as, PCI, NIST 800-53, ISO27002/1

Network and Security Administration Training

Microsoft Cloud Engineering Certifications such as, SC200, AZ900, AZ104, SC 100, Security+, Network+, OSCP



Compensation: $45- $50 an hour. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role include: Benefit packages for this role may include healthcare insurance offerings and paid leave as provided by applicable law.
