Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Responsibilities


  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft systems and components
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and test mechanical, structural, and avionics systems
  • Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
  • Document all maintenance activities accurately in technical records
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely aircraft turnaround


Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, Aviation Technology, or related technical field
  • Valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) license or equivalent regulatory certification is preferred
  • Currently working towards AME certification, examination, or nearing completion of logbooks preferred
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in aircraft maintenance, repair, or overhaul (MRO) environments is a must.
  • Experience with Dash 8 Q300 / Q400, CRJ Series, or Boeing 737 Classic aircraft is a must
  • Proficiency with maintenance tracking software such as TRAX, AMOS, or Quantum Control
  • Familiarity with diagnostic software and avionics test equipment
  • Strong grasp of airworthiness regulations including FAA Part 145, EASA Part-145, or Transport Canada standards
  • Able to work morning or afternoon shifts, Monday to Friday
  • Willing to relocate to Calgary, Alberta
  • Able to provide 2–3 professional references is a must
