Scandinavian Capital Markets is a foreign currency broker based in Stockholm with a remote workforce. We are building the next generation of currency trading technology and products, and we are looking for a seasoned engineer who can work independently and think outside the box. Role Description

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Mobile Engineer to take complete ownership of our mobile trading platform. You will work directly with our core leadership team to architect, optimize, and scale the mobile applications driving our product. This is a fully remote role where you will bridge the gap between cross-platform efficiency and native performance, collaborating across product, design, and backend teams to deliver a flawless real-time trading experience.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Ownership: Architect, develop, and own our mobile applications from the ground up, ensuring highly scalable and robust environments.
• Mobile Development: Drive feature development using React Native, while building and maintaining native iOS modules (Swift) to ensure uncompromising performance for critical trading functions.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, UI/UX, and backend teams to translate complex financial data into intuitive, high-quality mobile experiences.
• Architecture & State Management: Implement clean architectural patterns (e.g., MVVM) and robust state management (e.g., Redux) to handle real-time market data smoothly.

• Tooling & Automation: Build internal reusable SDK components, define CI/CD pipelines, and write automation scripts (Python, Bash) to streamline the development workflow and reduce time-to-market.

Requirements

• 10+ years of total software development experience, with at least 5+ years of extensive, hands-on work in mobile engineering.
• Deep expertise in React Native AND native iOS development.
• Proven ability to transition between native and cross-platform environments, including building native bridges for React Native.
• Strong grasp of mobile architectural patterns (MVVM, MVVM-C) and state management libraries (Redux).
• Experience writing tooling and automation scripts (Python, Bash) to optimize development workflows.
• Ability to work autonomously, take high-level product requirements, and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
