Role Description

The Security Architect translates the CISO’s strategic directions into concrete and robust technical solutions. The Security Architect ensures consistency, regulatory compliance (NIS2, GDPR, ISO 27001, IEC 62443…), and the effectiveness of security measures across the entire organization, particularly in the context of critical services and vital infrastructures.

The Architect contributes to an integrated security architecture covering IT, OT, cloud, and network environments, leveraging ArchiMate models and functional frameworks such as CyFun and ISO 27001 to ensure traceability and governance of security capabilities, thereby guaranteeing resilience and business continuity.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Business management, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity architecture, risk assessment, or a similar role.

SABSA Chartered Security Architect – Foundation Certificate (SCF).

At least two of the following certifications: CISSP ((ISC)²), CISM (ISACA), CRISC (ISACA).

Fluent in English (spoken and written, minimum C1 level).

100% remote (remote work available from EU only).

The consultant must be available to travel onsite when required for meetings or project needs.

Strong knowledge of cybersecurity standards and reference frameworks, including: ISO 27001 / 27002, NIS2, GDPR, CyFun, ISO 27036 (supplier relationships), ISA/IEC 62443, etc.

Ability to assess solutions and architectures from a security perspective, and to analyze cybersecurity requirements, supplier questionnaires, and complex contractual documents.

Ability to produce clear, structured cybersecurity deliverables (policies, standards, procedures, guidelines).

Excellent analytical skills and strong written synthesis abilities.

Motivation to dive into complex topics with a solution-oriented approach.

Ability to interact with various stakeholders (Procurement, Legal, IT, Business units, CISO).

Critical mindset, rigor, and risk-oriented approach.

Autonomy, strong prioritization skills, and ability to learn quickly.
