Job Title: Systems Engineer

Location: Abu Dhabi (Relocation Required)

Salary: €80,000 - €90,000 (Tax Free + Great Benefits)

Overview

My client is looking for an experienced System/Framework Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable software systems and deployment pipelines within a defence-focused environment. This role centers on modern C++ development, automation, and reliable production systems.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop and maintain system-level frameworks and core libraries in modern C++

•Design scalable architectures and collaborate on APIs and core components

•Build and manage containerised environments (Docker) and deployment automation.

•Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines with automated testing

•Ensure software quality through unit, integration, and regression testing

•Monitor, profile, and optimise system performance

Skills & Experience

•Strong C++ (C++17+) and Python for scripting/automation

•Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)

•Familiarity with Docker and configuration tools (e.g., Ansible)

•Linux-based development experience

•Understanding of distributed systems, networking, and performance tuning

•Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., Google Test, Catch2)

•Kubernetes or similar orchestration tools

•Experience with embedded Linux (e.g., Yocto)

•Background in high-performance or real-time systems

Qualifications

•PhD or Masters in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar

•Proven experience in system-level or framework development

•Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills
