Technical Program Manager - DC to Cloud Transformation

Position Overview

Lead a multi-year datacenter to cloud transformation initiative, managing complex migration programs using hybrid project management methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Program Leadership
2. Drive end-to-end datacenter to cloud migration strategy and execution
3. Manage multi-year transformation roadmap with clear milestones and deliverables
4. Coordinate cross-functional teams across infrastructure, applications, security, and business units
5. Establish governance frameworks and decision-making processes

1. Project Management
2. Apply Agile/Scrum methodologies for iterative migration waves
3. Utilize Waterfall approaches for infrastructure and compliance-driven workstreams
4. Manage hybrid project frameworks based on workload requirements
5. Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation

1. Stakeholder Management
2. Communicate program status, risks, and dependencies to executive leadership

3. Facilitate alignment between technical teams and business stakeholders
4. Manage vendor relationships and third-party service providers
5. Drive change management and organizational readiness

1. Risk & Quality Management
2. Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks and dependencies
3. Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and organizational standards
4. Establish quality gates and validation criteria for migration phases
5. Implement continuous improvement processes

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

1. 8+ years of technical program/project management experience
2. 5+ years managing cloud migration or infrastructure transformation programs

Technical Skills

1. Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
2. Knowledge of datacenter infrastructure, networking, and virtualization
3. Experience with migration tools and methodologies (6Rs framework)
4. Understanding of security, compliance, and disaster recovery in cloud environments

Project Management

1. Agile/Scrum: Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent; experience leading Agile teams
2. Waterfall: Proficiency in traditional SDLC and waterfall methodologies
3. Hybrid Approaches: Ability to blend methodologies based on project needs
4. PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification strongly preferred

Core Competencies

1. Proven ability to manage programs with budgets >$10M
2. Strong leadeNew Requirement - Program Manager (Cloud Migration) rship and team management skills
3. Excellent communication and presentation abilities
4. Strategic thinking with attention to operational detail
5. Experience managing geographically distributed teams

Preferred Qualifications

1. Cloud certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, etc.)
2. Experience with ITIL, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering practices
3. Background in healthcare, finance, or other regulated industries
4. Familiarity with migration assessment tools (CloudEndure, Azure Migrate, etc.)
5. Experience with FinOps and cloud cost optimization

2. Budget adherence and cost optimization
3. Zero critical security or compliance incidents
4. Stakeholder satisfaction scores
5. Team velocity and productivity improvements
