The Planet Group has partnered with an East Coast based company to locate a Senior BI Analyst for a full time role.
We are seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to play a key role in shaping and scaling a modern cloud-based data platform. This person will partner across engineering, analytics, and business teams to ensure data is reliable, accessible, and aligned to business priorities.
This role blends hands-on data work with cross-functional collaboration—ideal for someone who enjoys owning data quality, improving systems, and delivering meaningful insights.
This is a fully remote role but preference will be given to EST based candidates. No 3P's please.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as a bridge between business needs and data solutions—translating requirements into scalable BI and data warehouse designs
- Partner with data engineering and analytics teams to build and enhance enterprise data models and reporting layers
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL/data pipelines across multiple data sources and formats
- Own data quality and integrity—proactively identifying issues and driving improvements across systems
- Build and deliver dashboards, reports, and key metrics to support decision-making across the organization
- Optimize database performance, including query tuning and system efficiency improvements
- Collaborate with stakeholders across business and IT to prioritize enhancements and resolve issues
- Support production environments by troubleshooting data issues and minimizing disruptions
- Contribute to data governance practices, standards, and overall data strategy
- Lead or support compliance efforts (e.g., SOX, HIPAA) and audit readiness
- Manage and deliver multiple data and BI initiatives in a structured, deadline-driven environment

What You Bring
- 4+ years of experience working with data warehouses, data modeling, and BI solutions
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc.)
- Hands-on experience building ETL pipelines and working with modern data platforms
- Experience working with cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or similar)
- Familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI or similar reporting platforms
- Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on data quality and system optimization
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
