Role Overview
This role is focused on Data & AI solution architecture and engineering, with strong emphasis on Microsoft Fabric, Azure Machine Learning, and AI‑native solution design.
You will operate as a client‑facing AI consultant and builder, leading engagements from discovery through to production delivery. This is not an advisory‑only role, you’ll be expected to design and implement scalable, secure, AI‑driven solutions grounded in modern data platforms.
While Power Platform and Copilot remain important, they are extensions of the data and AI architecture, not the core focus of this role.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading end‑to‑end AI and data platform delivery (Discover, Design, Deliver, Deploy, Drive)
- Designing and implementing Microsoft Fabric solutions, including:
- Lakehouse, data warehousing, and data pipelines
- Dataflows Gen2 and semantic models
- Enterprise‑grade Power BI reporting on Fabric
- Building and operationalising Azure Machine Learning solutions, including:
- Model development, training, and deployment
- MLOps, experiment tracking, and lifecycle management
- Designing AI‑ready data architectures that support analytics, Copilot, and intelligent agents
- Developing AI‑powered solutions using:
- Azure AI Foundry
- Copilot Studio (for agent orchestration and business workflows)
- Acting as a trusted client advisor, leading conversations on:
- Data strategy and AI adoption
- Architecture trade‑offs and roadmap planning
- Integrating across Azure services, APIs, Microsoft 365, and third‑party platforms
- Ensuring security, governance, and compliance‑by‑design across data and AI solutions
- Supporting pre‑sales and solution shaping, bringing technical credibility to proposals
- Contributing to internal AI accelerators, frameworks, and best practices

Required Experience & Skills
Essential
- 5+ years delivering data, AI, or cloud solutions in client‑facing environments
- Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Fabric, including:
- Lakehouse, warehouses, pipelines, and semantic models
- Experience with Azure Machine Learning or equivalent ML platforms
- Proven ability to design and implement AI and data architectures end‑to‑end
- Experience building AI‑enabled solutions (LLMs, copilots, intelligent automation)
Strong understanding of:
- Data modelling and analytics architectures
- Data pipelines and transformation patterns
- Experience with Power BI for enterprise reporting and data storytelling
- Ability to engage senior stakeholders and translate business problems into technical solutions
- Strong communication and client‑facing consulting skills
