DevOps Engineer (Remote – U.S.) | Hyper‑Growth Nationwide Manufacturer

With more than six decades of technical leadership, their teams work on some of the most modern and complex products in the market, supporting industries such as technology, energy, healthcare, and large‑scale industrial operations.


Position: DevOps Engineer (Remote)

Due to rapid internal expansion and continued investment in modern engineering practices, the company is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join their fully remote team. This individual will play a crucial role in building highly scalable, automated, and cloud‑native systems to support both internal platforms and mission‑critical manufacturing technologies.


What You Will Do

Cloud, Infrastructure, and Automation

  • Design, implement, and maintain Azure‑based cloud infrastructure supporting distributed manufacturing and engineering systems.
  • Build and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform (preferred), ARM/Bicep, or equivalent tooling.
  • Architect and automate CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms to ensure reliable, repeatable deployments.
  • Develop scripting and automation across the environment using PowerShell, Bash, and/or Python.
  • Support database migrations, modernization efforts, and automation of environment provisioning.


Containerization and Platform Engineering

  • Build, manage, and optimize workloads using Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or EKS.
  • Implement container lifecycle automation, monitoring, and security best practices.


Application and Runtime Support

  • Support Java‑based application environments, including deployment and performance tuning for Tomcat or similar JVM‑based application servers.
  • Collaborate with development and architecture teams to build resilient, cloud‑ready services.


Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with engineering, product, infrastructure, and security teams to enhance automation, reliability, and scalability.
  • Play a significant role in ongoing modernization as the company scales operations and supports advanced, mission‑critical products used across North America.


Required Skills and Experience

  • Strong hands‑on experience with Azure cloud services
  • Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
  • Proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, and/or Python
  • Experience with GitHub or Azure DevOps CI/CD
  • Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or EKS
  • Experience supporting or deploying Java/Tomcat applications
  • Background in automation, cloud engineering, systems engineering, or DevOps
  • Experience with database migration, deployment automation, or systems modernization
