Position: DevOps Engineer (Remote)
Due to rapid internal expansion and continued investment in modern engineering practices, the company is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join their fully remote team. This individual will play a crucial role in building highly scalable, automated, and cloud‑native systems to support both internal platforms and mission‑critical manufacturing technologies.
What You Will Do
Cloud, Infrastructure, and Automation
- Design, implement, and maintain Azure‑based cloud infrastructure supporting distributed manufacturing and engineering systems.
- Build and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform (preferred), ARM/Bicep, or equivalent tooling.
- Architect and automate CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms to ensure reliable, repeatable deployments.
- Develop scripting and automation across the environment using PowerShell, Bash, and/or Python.
- Support database migrations, modernization efforts, and automation of environment provisioning.

Containerization and Platform Engineering
- Build, manage, and optimize workloads using Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or EKS.
- Implement container lifecycle automation, monitoring, and security best practices.
Application and Runtime Support
- Support Java‑based application environments, including deployment and performance tuning for Tomcat or similar JVM‑based application servers.
- Collaborate with development and architecture teams to build resilient, cloud‑ready services.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with engineering, product, infrastructure, and security teams to enhance automation, reliability, and scalability.
- Play a significant role in ongoing modernization as the company scales operations and supports advanced, mission‑critical products used across North America.

Required Skills and Experience
- Strong hands‑on experience with Azure cloud services
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
