Marketing Manager (Email and Paid Media Operations in the Startup Space)
Freelance to Potential Full Time | Fully Remote (US-based only)
40 hours per week, 3-6 months with potential to extend or convert

Position Overview:
Our client, a fast-growing, innovative startup in the healthcare technology AI space, is looking for a Marketing Manager with strong hands-on experience in B2B email and lifecycle marketing and paid media operations. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity where you will work 40 hours per week, fully remote.

About the Role:
In this role, you will partner closely with the Growth Marketing team to execute best-in-class lifecycle, email, and paid media programs. If you enjoy working hands-on in marketing automation tools, ad platforms, and campaign data, this is an excellent fit. 

This position is highly executional, roughly a 50/50 split between email and lifecycle work and paid media operations. You will play a central role in scaling the company's outbound, nurture, and acquisition programs.

Responsibilities:
Email and Lifecycle Marketing (45%)

  • Build, QA, and deploy HTML emails, automated journeys, and dynamic content through HubSpot
  • Maintain deliverability best practices (sender reputation, list hygiene, inbox performance)
  • Develop and refine segments using behavioral, demographic, and firmographic data
  • Run A/B and multivariate tests; partner cross-functionally to optimize nurture journeys
  • Maintain and evolve a template library in partnership with creative teams or agency partners

Paid Media Operations (45%)

  • Build and launch ad campaigns in LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Google Ads, and Meta Ads Manager
  • Manage audience lists (uploads, lookalikes, retargeting)
  • Monitor budget pacing, optimize bids, placements, and audiences, and provide performance recommendations
  • Review creative across placements, manage rotations, and coordinate ad variant testing
  • Partner with Marketing Ops and Demand Gen on reporting, attribution, and KPI tracking

Cross-Functional Collaboration (10%)

  • Support ABM, Events, and Product Marketing with targeted email and paid media campaigns aligned to broader strategic initiatives

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in email marketing, marketing automation, paid media, or a combination of both
  • Strong proficiency in HubSpot (preferred) or similar platforms such as Pardot or Marketo
  • Hands-on experience in LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Google Ads, and Meta Ads
  • Background in healthcare, revenue cycle, or tech startups is a MUST
  • B2B marketing experience is a MUST
  • Strong knowledge of deliverability, UTM parameters, conversion tracking, and compliance
  • Experience with testing methodologies and performance analysis
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong QA discipline; proactive and resourceful
  • Nice to have: experience building automations and workflows in HubSpot
