Senior Analytics Engineer

We are Hiring: Experienced Analytics Engineer to a fully remote position.

You will play a key role in shaping how data is modelled, understood, and used across the business; turning raw data into meaningful, well- structured insights that drive better decisions.

We’ve already built much of our data platform, and are now focusing on a few key areas:

• Building out robust, scalable data models that make our data intuitive and accessible for the business
• Creating a strong, well-governed data layer that balances performance, usability, and long-term maintainability
• Exploring how we can embed AI across our analytics lifecycle - automating the repetitive work and enabling our teams to focus on higher-value problem solving
• Designing data in a way that enables LLMs to effectively answer natural language questions, by providing the right structure, context, and semantics

The ideal candidate is curious about the business, thoughtful about data design, and comfortable navigating the trade-offs that come with building real-world data systems.

What You'll Do:

• Design, build, and maintain clean, well-structured data models that support analytics, reporting, and self-serve use cases
• Write efficient, scalable SQL to transform raw data into trusted, business-ready datasets keeping reusability front of mind
• Work closely with stakeholders and users to understand key questions and ensure data is modelled to answer them effectively
• Apply best practices in data modelling while making pragmatic trade-offs where needed
• Contribute to improving data quality, testing, and documentation across the analytics layer
• Help shape how we use AI within our analytics workflows - from automating repetitive tasks to enabling natural language access to data
• Think critically about how data structure and metadata can support LLMs in generating accurate, meaningful insights

Requirements:

• Strong, SQL-first mindset - you instinctively reach for SQL to solve data problems
• Proven experience building data models using dbt, SQLMesh, or a similar transformation framework
• A solid understanding of data architecture and how different layers of the data stack fit together
• Strong data modelling skills, with an appreciation for the trade-offs between performance, simplicity, and flexibility
• Experience working with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, etc.) on large-scale datasets
• A genuine interest in how data can be used to drive business outcomes, not just how it’s built
• A collaborative, friendly approach and willingness to share ideas and learn from others
