Senior Database Administrator

My client is a regulated US-based CEX, this role is fully remote, but need to base in Singapore, Malaysia or UAE. My client will offer sponsorship.

Job responsibilities

• Responsible for daily business support and 4x capacity guarantee for global and local financial-level storage components (SLA < = 99.99%, RTO < = 5mins, RPO = 0, Delay < 100ms), and propose improvement suggestions for high-risk changes and repetitive inefficiencies, and promote implementation
• Responsible for global and local station financial-level storage components and overall architecture risk identification and hidden danger governance (including but not limited to: effectively blocking big key/showSQL hidden dangers generated by function iteration; identifying and governing scenarios with strong data dependence on Redis, discovering and governing unreasonable architecture design behind abnormal alarms).
• Responsible for storing component (MySQL/Redis) size version, security patch upgrade (RTO < = 2mins, RPO = 0, efficiency = 3.5 person-days/cluster), ensuring smooth business upgrade, and effective emergency rollback in abnormal scenarios (RTO < = 5mins).

• Responsible for version planning of storage components (MySQL/Redis/TiDB/Doris/ES/MongoDB), software risk identification (BUG type), architecture risk identification (compatibility with availability zone failures), hardware risk identification (affinity), and promoting cloud vendors and architecture teams to schedule and govern hidden dangers
• Responsible for continuously iterating storage component (MySQL/Redis/TiDB/Doris/ES/MongoDB) standard construction, cost governance standard construction, and implementing new standards management platform and inspection platform
• Responsible for the design and development of daily database requirements for the database management platform (Golang)

Job requirements

• Strong execution ability ensures high-quality and no-delay delivery of business requirements (following the change process and implementing the double check mechanism for program guarantee), and good team collaboration ability
• Strong stress resistance and open-mindedness, calmly think about the root causes and solutions when facing difficulties or bottlenecks, actively report bottlenecks, give reasonable suggestions, and actively promote problem-solving
• More than 8 years of full-time DBA work experience in top companies in the financial and internet industries, with practical experience in massive databases (cluster > 800, data > TB level), and experienced large-scale activities and market traffic shocks (at least > 5 times the daily traffic).
• Proficient in MySQL/Redis system principles and architecture design capabilities, proficient in AWS cloud technology stack (VPC/AuroraRDS/Valkey/OpenSearch) risk identification and standard specification design to ensure business usage storage SLA > 99.99%.
• Proficient in TiDB/Doris/ES (choose one) distributed database principle system (data > 0.5PB), skilled in identifying component hidden dangers and sorting out standard specifications, providing core technical indicators (SLA, PTO, RPO) and pushing component design and planning capabilities for business line use, ensuring that the storage SLA for business use is > 99.90% (for business stability requirements > 99.9%, effective emergency plans need to be aligned as a whole).
