Are you someone who gets genuinely excited about why markets move, what customers actually want, and how data tells a story? We're looking for a sharp, curious Market Research Intern to join our core team at a fast-growing 3D printing & rapid prototyping startup.

This isn't a fetch-coffee internship. You'll work directly with the founding team, and your research will directly shape our go-to-market strategy, product positioning, and business decisions.

📌 The Role

As our Market Research Intern, you will be a core part of how we understand our market and our customers. You will help us answer the questions that matter: Who are our best customers? Where is the industry heading? What do our competitors do well and where do they fall short?

💡 What You'll Do

• Map the competitive landscape — identify key players, their positioning, pricing, and weaknesses across the 3D printing and prototyping industry

• Conduct primary and secondary research on customer segments, industry verticals, and emerging trends

• Analyze data from surveys, interviews, and public sources to surface actionable insights

• Build clear, well-structured research reports and presentations for the founding team

• Track industry news, funding activity, and technology developments relevant to our market

• Support product and marketing strategy with data-backed recommendations

• Help define and refine our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) and value proposition

🎯 What We're Looking For

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field

• Strong analytical thinking — you can take messy data and turn it into a clear story

• Excellent written communication — you write clearly, concisely, and confidently

• Self-starter mindset — you don't wait to be told what to do next

• Comfortable working independently in a remote, async environment

• High attention to detail and intellectual curiosity

• Experience with tools like Excel, Google Sheets, Notion, Airtable, or research platforms (Statista, IBISWorld, etc.)

• Familiarity with market sizing frameworks (TAM/SAM/SOM) or business strategy models

• Prior internship or project experience in a startup, consulting, or research environment

• Genuine interest in 3D printing, manufacturing, product design, or deep tech

• Experience conducting customer interviews or user research
