Electrical Design Engineer

We're looking for a skilled engineer who can take ownership of electrical design for major infrastructure projects, guide interdisciplinary coordination, and ensure system safety through advanced power studies. What You'll Do
- Engineer creative solutions to complex electrical challenges while advising clients on essential operational decisions.
- Lead the design of low- and medium-voltage power distribution and motor control systems for major infrastructure.
- Collaborate closely with civil, structural, and mechanical teams to ensure seamless integration across all disciplines.
- Develop detailed construction specifications for a wide range of electrical systems and equipment.
- Support construction teams, ensuring your designs are implemented accurately and safely.
- Perform critical power system analyses, including short circuit, protective device coordination, and arc flash studies.
- Plan and track project scope, schedule, and budget, contributing to successful project delivery.
- Take on additional technical challenges as new opportunities and project needs arise.
- Strong electrical design expertise with proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks.
- 8+ years of experience designing electrical systems for horizontal infrastructure-wastewater treatment plants, data centers, or similar facilities.
- Current PE license, or the ability to obtain one within your first year.
- Solid understanding of key industry codes and standards (NEC, NFPA, IEEE, etc.).
- Proven success working with private-sector clients.

- Experience using Mathcad.
- Knowledge of electrical engineering in data center environments.
- A collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with diverse, cross-disciplinary teams.
- Fully remote role with your choice of schedule:
- 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
- 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
- 8-10 site visits per year across U.S. project locations.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $63.00 - $77.00/hr.
