About the Role:
As a Senior Backend Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and deploying scalable and reliable backend services on the AWS platform. You will work closely with our team to build robust APIs, microservices, and data pipelines that power our clients' applications.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable and maintainable backend solutions using Node.js and TypeScript.
- Develop and deploy serverless functions using AWS Lambda, integrating with DynamoDB, API Gateway, and S3.
- Architect and implement RESTful APIs for seamless front-end integration.
- Optimize database performance and ensure data integrity using PostgreSQL and DynamoDB.
- Write comprehensive unit and integration tests to guarantee code quality and reliability.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving our development processes.
- Collaborate with our DevOps team to implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and ensure adherence to security best practices.
- Participate in daily stand-ups and regular sprint planning meetings.

Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of professional backend development experience, with at least 3 years focused on AWS cloud services.
- Proven expertise in Node.js and TypeScript.
- Extensive hands-on experience with AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, S3, and related services.
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles.
- Experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
- Proficiency in writing comprehensive unit and integration tests.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
- Experience with containerization (Docker) is a plus.
