Job Description


These roles are open in various locations in TX and NY - they do require you to be onsite (relocation assistance is provide).


Futura Energy Group is partnering with a leading AI infrastructure innovator that is building some of the worlds largest and most advanced AI data centers. They are actively hiring for Lead Network Technicians to support deployment of their latest AI data centers.


Why This Role Matters:

You’ll manage the end-to-end lifecycle of the hardware fleet, ensuring every server and network device performs flawlessly. From installation and deployment to troubleshooting and first-response support, your work guarantees high system reliability for AI workloads that cannot afford downtime.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as escalation point for network and cable plant incidents.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve physical layer issues including fiber faults, transceiver failures, patch panel problems, and cable plant defects.
  • Perform fiber inspection, cleaning, testing, and light-level validation.
  • Participate in the testing and deployment of automated diagnostic and repair tools. Lead onsite trainings and enforce adoption of tooling systems.
  • Execute structured cabling repairs including re-patching failed runs.
  • Run post-repair validation tools to confirm device connectivity, LLDP neighbor relationships, and acceptable optical power levels.


Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in datacenter environments with a focus on structured cabling, fiber infrastructure and network hardware.
  • Proficiency with fiber troubleshooting tools: Visual Fault Locators (VFL), optical power meters, light sources etc.
  • Understanding of fiber types, connector standards and acceptable light-level thresholds for datacenter optics
  • Familiarity with structured cabling standards and best practices for fault identification
  • Ability to interpret basic network interface diagnostics - including link status, optical power readings, and LLDP/neighbor information
