- Serve as escalation point for network and cable plant incidents.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve physical layer issues including fiber faults, transceiver failures, patch panel problems, and cable plant defects.
- Perform fiber inspection, cleaning, testing, and light-level validation.
- Participate in the testing and deployment of automated diagnostic and repair tools. Lead onsite trainings and enforce adoption of tooling systems.
- Execute structured cabling repairs including re-patching failed runs.
- Run post-repair validation tools to confirm device connectivity, LLDP neighbor relationships, and acceptable optical power levels.

Qualifications:
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in datacenter environments with a focus on structured cabling, fiber infrastructure and network hardware.
- Proficiency with fiber troubleshooting tools: Visual Fault Locators (VFL), optical power meters, light sources etc.
- Understanding of fiber types, connector standards and acceptable light-level thresholds for datacenter optics
- Familiarity with structured cabling standards and best practices for fault identification
- Ability to interpret basic network interface diagnostics - including link status, optical power readings, and LLDP/neighbor information
