100% Remote - Must reside in the US full time

The QA Automation Engineer will excel at creating, managing, and optimizing automation scripts for performance, load, and functional testing. This role is crucial for ensuring the quality, reliability, and scalability of our software products. The candidate should have a proven track record of building and maintaining robust automation frameworks, actively contributing to efficient testing practices, and working closely with development teams to enhance software quality.
Job Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement performance and load testing strategies for web applications and backend services.
- Write, optimize, and maintain automation scripts to streamline and enhance testing processes across various test environments.
- Create and expand a comprehensive automated testing framework that includes test plans, test cases, and continuous testing pipelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, operations, and customer success, to ensure test strategies support overall project goals and deliverables.
- Implement and oversee continuous integration (CI) and continuous testing (CT) pipelines to ensure timely feedback on application performance and quality.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on application performance and resource utilization throughout testing cycles.
- Provide clear and detailed test reports, including actionable insights for stakeholders.
- Stay informed on industry trends, automation technologies, and best practices to continually improve the test automation process.

- Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools and frameworks.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and scripting skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively within a collaborative environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in automated testing, with a strong focus on writing and maintaining automation scripts.
- 5+ years of experience in performance and load testing.
- Proficiency with load testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling.
- Hands-on experience with test automation tools like Playwright and C# or similar, with proven experience writing test scripts from scratch.
- Must successfully clear a Level II fingerprint background screening (required by certain Brandt customer contracts).

The starting compensation range is $95,000.00-$115,000.00, with the final level and corresponding salary determined based on the candidate’s expertise, qualifications, and prior experience within the applicable pay band.
