Senior Civil Engineer - Subdivision and Land Development

About the Company: We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to lead and support the planning, design, and execution of residential and commercial subdivision projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, and proven experience managing subdivision layouts, grading, drainage, and infrastructure design. This role requires technical expertise, leadership ability, and strong coordination with internal teams, clients, and regulatory agencies.

About the Role: This position involves leading the design and engineering of subdivision and land development projects.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and engineering of subdivision and land development projects
• Prepare and review civil construction drawings using AutoCAD
• Design and oversee site layouts, grading plans, drainage systems, roadways, and utilities
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, codes, and permitting requirements

• Coordinate with surveyors, planners, architects, contractors, and municipal agencies
• Review technical calculations, reports, and construction documents for accuracy and qualities
• Participate in project scheduling, budgeting, and resource planning
• Support project proposals, scope development, and client meetings
• Perform site visits and construction support as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil/Mechanical Engineering preferred)
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD

• Strong understanding of subdivision design standards, zoning, and development regulations
• Experience with grading, stormwater management, utilities, and roadway design
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently

• Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain licensure
• Experience with Civil 3D
• Familiarity with municipal review processes and permitting
