Job Description: We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead the design and delivery of scalable data pipelines and analytics platforms across multiple concurrent projects, supporting analytics outcomes across Parts, Services, and ERP domains for a leading Australian automotive data company.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Engineering & Architecture

• Architect, build, and optimize complex data pipelines using Python and Databricks
• Define and enforce data modelling standards, pipeline design patterns, and best practices
• Lead the design of scalable, maintainable data platform solutions

Analytics Project Delivery

• Drive end-to-end delivery of data products across Parts, Services, and ERP analytics workstreams
• Ensure high data quality, integrity, and performance across all layers of the data platform

• Translate complex business requirements into technical solutions

Platform & Cloud Infrastructure

• Manage and optimize data workflows within AWS cloud environments
• Contribute to or review front-end data application layers built in React where applicable
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response for data pipelines

Technical Leadership & Collaboration

• Mentor mid-level engineers and provide technical guidance across the team
• Collaborate with client stakeholders and cross-functional teams to align on delivery priorities
• Contribute to technical documentation, code reviews, and engineering standards

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or a closely related discipline
• Proven track record delivering data pipelines and analytics platforms in production at scale
• Experience working across multiple concurrent projects or workstreams
• Strong stakeholder communication skills, including experience working with international clients
• Ability to lead technical discussions and influence architectural decisions
• Comfortable working autonomously in a fully remote environment
