About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technology Architect / Lead Developer with extensive experience in IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation (CP4BA), IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW/BPM), and REST API integrations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in banking and a proven track record of managing complex enterprise projects. With 8 to 14 years of experience, you will play a critical role in driving the success of digital transformation initiatives and contributing to key technical deliverables.

In This Role You Will

  • Lead the design, development, and architecture of enterprise automation solutions using IBM CP4BA and IBM BAW/BPM
  • Build and enhance workflow-driven business applications and content-centric solutions using ECM / IBM FileNet Content Manager
  • Design and implement REST API–based integrations with internal and external systems
  • Develop AI-assisted capabilities using watsonx.ai Studio, including document classification, extraction, summarization, and conversational experiences
  • Apply cloud-native development practices on OpenShift and Kubernetes
  • Collaborate with product owners, architects, DevOps, security/IAM, and QA teams to deliver secure and scalable solutions
  • Ensure compliance with banking regulations, enterprise security standards, and responsible AI principles
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to development teams
  • Participate in architecture reviews and contribute to technical documentation and standards

What You Need To Have To Be Considered

  • 8 to 14 years of overall IT experience with strong enterprise application development background
  • Hands-on experience with IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation (CP4BA)
  • Strong expertise in IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW/BPM)
  • Experience with REST API design and system integrations
  • Hands-on experience with ECM / IBM FileNet Content Manager
  • Exposure to cloud-native platforms such as OpenShift and Kubernetes
  • Strong understanding of banking and financial services domain
  • Experience working on large-scale, complex enterprise projects
  • Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills

These Will Help You Stand Out

  • Experience using watsonx.ai Studio for AI-assisted automation use cases
  • IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation certification (nice to have)
  • Experience designing end-to-end workflow, content, and AI-driven solutions
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and enterprise security integrations
  • Prior experience in a technology architect or lead developer role

Salary And Other Compensation

Annual Salary Range: $83,600 – $129,500 based on experience and overall qualifications.

Eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, subject to performance and applicable plan terms.
