About Our Client

Our client is a well-established financial services institution operating in the capital markets and investment banking sector in Vietnam. The organization is undergoing a significant technology transformation to strengthen its digital infrastructure, enhance trading capabilities, and support long-term growth across institutional and capital markets businesses.

Job Description

The Chief Technology Officer will be responsible for defining and executing the organization's technology strategy while building scalable platforms that support trading, investment banking, and institutional services.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Define the long-term technology strategy and architecture roadmap aligned with business growth and expansion plans.
  • Oversee the development and operation of core financial systems, including trading platforms, market data infrastructure, risk and compliance systems, client onboarding platforms, and internal front-middle-back office solutions.
  • Ensure technology platforms are secure, scalable, and capable of supporting high transaction volumes and low-latency trading environments.
  • Establish best practices in software engineering, DevOps, system reliability, and cybersecurity governance.
  • Lead the development of data and analytics platforms to support trading insights, institutional client services, and management reporting.
  • Build and lead a high-performing engineering and technology organization, strengthening internal capabilities and reducing reliance on external vendors.
  • Partner closely with executive leadership and the Board to support digital transformation initiatives, innovation, and strategic business expansion.


The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate is a senior technology leader with strong experience building and scaling mission-critical systems within complex or regulated environments.

Key qualifications include:

  • Proven experience in CTO, Head of Technology, or equivalent senior leadership roles managing large-scale technology organizations.
  • Strong background in system architecture, distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and high-performance platform design.
  • Experience working with Chinese technology ecosystems, high-growth technology platforms, or fintech companies is highly preferred.
  • Exposure to financial services, capital markets, fintech, or other regulated technology environments is a strong advantage.
  • Track record of building and leading high-performing engineering teams and delivering large-scale technology transformations.
  • Ability to work closely with executive leadership and Boards on strategic technology initiatives.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to operate effectively in an international environment.
