We are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure. This fully remote role involves working closely with development and DevOps teams to ensure high availability, security, and performance of cloud-based systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
- Automate infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and scalability
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize application deployment
- Ensure security, compliance, and data protection (aligned with UK GDPR)
- Troubleshoot and resolve cloud-related issues
- Manage backups, disaster recovery, and system resilience
- Optimize cloud costs and resource utilization
- Maintain documentation of systems and processes

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3–6+ years of experience in cloud engineering or DevOps roles
- Hands-on experience with at least one cloud platform:
- AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash, or PowerShell)
- Familiarity with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with networking concepts (VPCs, DNS, load balancing)
- Proficiency with version control (Git)
