About The Role

You will work in the Grow & Engage domain, which is at the core of the customer experience. This encompasses everything from acquisition and signup processes to our premium membership tiers and daily user engagement. Specifically, within the Acquire team, you will be involved in delivering innovative features designed to serve our customers in the most effective way possible, ensuring a seamless entry into the N26 ecosystem. Your responsibilities will include discovering, designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining software in a dynamic environment. You will manage individual project priorities and deliverables while collaborating within a team that values knowledge sharing. Staying current with the latest technological trends and proposing new ideas during our GSDD (Get Stuff Done Days) sessions will be an integral part of your role.

Qualifications

We seek candidates with experience in developing software using JVM languages and Spring Boot in large-scale production systems. Knowledge of Kotlin is a plus. A solid understanding of microservice architecture is essential, along with familiarity with both relational and non-relational databases, preferably Postgres. Experience working within modern cloud architectures, particularly AWS, is highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate a strong bias for action and a results-oriented mindset. An ongoing appreciation for security best practices and a commitment to writing well-tested, well-documented code are critical. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to give and receive open, direct, and timely feedback, are also important for success in this role.

Your key responsibilities will include participating in the full software development lifecycle, from discovery through deployment and maintenance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable microservices that meet business needs. Ensuring the security and integrity of the applications you develop is paramount. You will contribute to the continuous improvement of our engineering processes and stay updated with emerging technologies and industry best practices. Additionally, you will be expected to participate actively in knowledge sharing sessions, propose innovative solutions, and help foster a culture of excellence and agility within the team.
