Job Description


We are partnering with a fast-growing technology platform to appoint a Creative Director to lead visual excellence across its digital products and manage a high-performing international design team.


This role will lead a 15–20-person design organisation, driving the evolution of the product UI and visual systems to a best-in-class standard. You will take ownership of the Design System, define the overall visual direction of the product, and oversee multiple design teams to ensure consistently strong, scalable, and high-quality output.


This is a product-led creative leadership role, best suited for a design leader who is passionate about building structured, scalable design frameworks and elevating digital product experiences — rather than focusing purely on marketing creatives.



Key Responsibilities


1. Team Leadership & Structure

  • Lead and mentor 15–20 designers across 2–3 sub-teams (UI, Graphic, Components).
  • Define workflows, schedules, and delivery standards.
  • Coach team members, develop team leads, and build a scalable org structure.
  • Oversee recruitment, performance, and talent pipeline.
  • Foster a stable, collaborative, and politics-free culture.


2. Product Visual & UI System

  • Standardize visual identity
  • Build a Design System (color palette, typography, component library, templates, skins by region — SEA, Japan, LatAm).
  • Define the visual direction for key pages (VIP, Rewards Center, Wallet, Tasks, Home).
  • Modularize complex content for efficiency and consistency.
  • Collaborate with Product to translate UX designs into scalable UI output.


3. Graphic Design & Output Quality

  • Lead creative direction for promotional visuals, banners, entry points, and key visuals.
  • Establish a graphic template library to improve efficiency.
  • Ensure all designs are elegant, clean, layered, and aligned with the visual language.
  • Maintain consistent quality and visual rhythm across all outputs.


4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Product and Front-end teams for seamless visual delivery.
  • Ensure designs are both visually strong and technically implementable.
  • Focus strictly on product visuals — not advertising or marketing design.



Requirements


Professional Skills

  • 8–15 years of experience in UI/visual design.
  • At least 3 years managing 8–20 designers.
  • Proven success in building and implementing a Design System.
  • Mastery of Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator.
  • Strong sense of product UI (not just marketing visuals).
  • Solid understanding of front-end design logic.
  • Consistent, refined visual taste and strong composition ability.


Aesthetic & Direction

  • Modern, clean, and systematic design style.
  • Familiar with SEA, East Asian, Japanese, and Western game-inspired aesthetics.
  • Able to design retention and reward-led user experience elements with a polished, high-end visual standard
  • Skilled in modular design and visual systemization.


Leadership & Communication

  • High emotional intelligence, cross-team collaboration skills.
  • Able to stabilize team morale, resolve conflicts, and reduce friction.
  • Focus on coaching and empowerment, but hands-on when needed.
  • Capable of maintaining consistent team performance and quality output.


Personal Traits

  • Mature, pragmatic, and pressure-resilient.
  • Results-oriented, cooperative, and long-term minded.
  • Focused on product impact.
  • Passionate about real product design, not “artistic display.”



Preferred Experience

  • Experience in entertainment platforms.
  • Cross-market, multilingual UI projects.
  • Brings an international perspective, with exposure to the US market preferred, and demonstrates a strong understanding of US visual preferences, creative trends, cultural context, and consumer appeal.
  • Large B2C or SaaS product visual leadership.
  • Taiwan, Japan, or Singapore major company background.


Location

This role is primarily based in Singapore, and relocation support will be provided for suitable candidates, subject to terms and conditions. For exceptional profiles already based within the region, there may also be flexibility for the role to be structured in-market, depending on overall suitability and business requirements.
