In this role, you’ll manage a highly collaborative and capable team of scientists and quantum engineers responsible for the core of our quantum computer: its performance. Make it faster, make it better, track your progress, and provide requirements to other teams to make it happen. • Coach the team to master the design-build-test cycle with respect to modelling and driving system performance
  • Manage the quality, production, and evolution of system-level requirements by the team
  • Own the system performance scorecard and risk register, and create and execute improvement plans
  • Work with the Program Managers and Director, Quantum Processors to drive alignment across multiple teams, meeting product roadmap deliverables and key technical milestones
  • Work with the team to support Photonic’s Intellectual Property strategy

WHAT YOU BRING TO OUR TEAM

  • 5+ years of people leadership in Engineering/R&D within a company that develops, manufactures, and sells complex technology solutions

  • Demonstrated ability to lead generation and management of requirements and drive system performance
  • Experience in translating R&D results to actionable engineering practice
  • A background or interest in quantum computing, quantum optics, and/or spin physics is a plus
  • A proven ability to attract, inspire, motivate, and retain top tier diverse talent
  • Outstanding teamwork skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills

WHY YOU SHOULD WORK WITH US
