Job Description

The Chip Methodology & Automation team (CMA) in Arm Solutions Engineering (SE) develops front-end flows for design and verification teams, with our tools, flows and methodologies being deployed across all of our projects. The SE team includes members in multiple sites including India (Bangalore), the UK (Manchester, Sheffield, Cambridge), France (Sophia), US (Austin, Chandler and San Diego) and Hungary (Budapest), with the CMA team represented in several of these sites and supporting them all!

Responsibilities

As a member of the CMA Verification-Apps team, you will work on the development, standardization and maintenance of our internal engineering flows that enable verification activities within the Solutions Engineering team, working with engineers from our project teams to help them deploy best-practise across a common set of requirements.

The flows you will help to develop will include areas such as simulation, emulation and formal verification and advancements in machine-readable specifications to aid automation of standard methodology within SE, enabling our verification community to achieve the best possible results. You will collect and analyse verification metrics and work with tools from multiple EDA vendors.

Required Skills And Experience

  • Knowledge in verification workflows used for SoC hardware development, with prior hands-on project-level verification experience
  • Strong skills in scripting languages such as python, perl and PHP and flows used for version control such as svn, git, gerrit
  • Knowledge of machine readable specifications, continuous integration and continuous delivery
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Familiarity in working with global team

“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience :

  • Experience of IP protection and export restrictions
  • Knowledge of functional safety standards including ISO 26262
  • Experience working on global IP and SoC development projects
